And now Disney has a surprise for you come November 2, 2018. The Nutcracker story is thrilling and Disney has got every movie fanatic talking since the release of the first trailer of the live-action film. It is a short clip that has left everyone eagerly waiting for the real action.

For those who have never heard of or read about “The Nutcracker,” find this trailer and watch it. It gives you a glimpse of what the live-action film by Disney is all about. What’s more, there is a lot to learn from the trailer. The Nutcracker and the Four Realms pays tribute to famous and classical Christmas ballet. It is an adaptation from the story of “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King”, an incredible story by E.T.A Hoffman. The live-action film also features the work of Tchaikovsky, who was a known and cherished composer of some of the widely used classical repertoire. Therefore, the film will keep the classic connection to ballet score alive and fresh in our minds.

One core facet that is clear in the fantasy film trailer is that it will not feature the light-hearted Christmas ballet elements it connects with. However, it will bring out a dark theme. From the short trailer, the movie is a must-watch and also a great piece to appease Halloween lovers for its dark theme, and is expected to bring great oomph during Christmas-time. It is quite obvious that The Nutcracker and the Four Realms will reveal many elements of the famed two-act ballet, “The Nutcracker.”

The spin from the movie trailer starts with a few guests arriving on chariot like any other classical ballet at Clara’s family home where a huge Christmas Eve party is taking place. Immediately, it brings out the plot of a fairy-tale with the deep voice of Drosselmeyer, who is Clara’s grandfather.  Clara then meanders across the mansion and then in a twist, she reaches the end of a golden line.

Her grandfather shares his sensitivity of a different event, “A time of mystery, expectation and wonders”, citing that no one knows what might happen. Clara then steps into a new world that is snow-white, ground-breaking and in one way petrifying. She then meets a throng of soldiers with their King and she is whisked away to a lavish mansion. She is then charmingly introduced to the pink-haired Sugar Plum Fairy. As part of the orientation to her new home, Clara gets to watch a performance by a ballet specialist. A group of circus artists also perform for the guests in the movie spin and then Clara heads into another world.

In this part, the dark theme of the film is unleashed. You will like it. The trailer then introduces the evil Mother Ginger and she is shown letting loose a pack of mice while holding a sword. Clara looks terrified and we then see a subsiding carousel and soldiers fighting. The spin trailer then brings in the ballet section that will really leave you awestruck thanks to the dancers’ circus skills.

The four Realms of the film are depicted in a form of nightmare where Clara is perceived to travel into the Land of Snowflakes, Land of Flowers, as well as the Land of Sweets and then the last Realm entails the evil and dark world of the Mother Ginger. You will like this part if you are into action packed films and mystery.
